Matt McLeod - Skill Development
Matt
McLeod joined the Kingdom Athlete staff in the Spring of 2012. In addition to serving as director for KA's boot camps and summer sessions, Coach McLeod will also oversee all skill development in the greater Fort Worth area.
In addition to his role with Kingdom Athletes, Coach McLeod is also in his second year as Athletic Director and Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach at Lake Country Christian School in Fort Worth. The 2011-12 season also marks his fifth as a varsity coach, in which Coach McLeod has amassed over 100 wins, three district titles, three playoff berths, and two appearances in the Regional Finals. In four complete seasons as a head coach, he has tutored seven all-state performers, three district MVPs, and 25 total all-district picks.
Coach McLeod also works for PGC Basketball as their Coach Adviser for the DFW area, is a two-time TAPPS All-Star coach, and was named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' (TABC) Outstanding Coach of the Year for the Small Private School Division after the 2007-08 season.
A graduate of Oral Roberts University, Coach McLeod served as the school's Assistant Director for Athletic Media Relations before joining the high school coaching ranks. He also spent time under ORU coach Scott Sutton as a student assistant and has worked on the summer staffs for Scott Drew (Baylor), Mark Gottfried (Alabama), and Herb Sendek (NC State).
Coach McLeod has been married for 7+ years to Emily (Hawkinson) McLeod, and they have two children: Olivia (4) and Wesley (2).
